  1. Amy, this is simply beautiful. I am Christian, but have family members by marriage who celebrate Hanukkah instead. In my present WIP novel, my hero is Christian, my heroine is Jewish, so I’ve been researching a lot of the heritage of Jewish customs.
This poem says it all so beautifully, and touched my heart. I wish you Happy Hanukkah and ultimate joy and peace throughout this holiday season.

  2. I love this poem! I have so many friends who feel the way you do. I celebrate Christmas, and they’ll come over with me and exchange gifts and ooh and ahh over the lights on the tree, but then go home and feel settled and peaceful with their own Hanukkah celebrations. How wonderful that we can share and appreciate each other’s traditions. How wonderful that you write about it so poetically.
